Municipality now sells Nederland road signs

NEDERLAND – The hamlet of Nederland in the Netherlands has been without a road sign in recent years. Ambitious collectors pull up the sign as soon as it gets replaced. The hamlet which is now part of the rather newly merged municipality Steenwijkerland was put on the map again with a new sign only to see it disappear again overnight. The municipality now offers enthusiasts Nederland road signs for only 150 euro. The hamlet, located to the west of nearby tourist attraction Giethoorn and in nature park Weerribben, is home to only a few small houses.
