NIJMEGEN – Three museums, which dedicate themselves to segment interests of World War Two, are banding together to launch a fourth. The proposed institution will be built in Nijmegen, a nearly 2,000 year old city, which for over six months lay on the Allied-German frontline at the close of the war. The new initiative is the brainchild of War Museum Overloon, the Liberation Museum of Groesbeek and of the Airborne Museum of Oosterbeek. These three will continue as satellites of the newly proposed Museum WO2 (Museum WWII), which has a total budget of 25 million euros. The plan was conceived following a review of the relevance factor of WWII history in the time to come and will enhance the programs of its parts.
