EDE – Meccano enthusiasts turned out in full force to the first Modelshow Europe, held in the central Dutch town of Ede. Numerous displays featuring scale model cranes, excavation equipment, lorries, and other machines, made of meccano or lego pieces or even entirely self-made, filled a large local hall. The show attracted visitors from the United Kingdom, Germany, Denmark and France to look, to trade or to gather tips and know how. A Dutch meccano enthusiast showed off his six metre high crane, which had taken him six years to build. The annual show was previously held in the town of Bemmel and will return to Ede next year again.
