HOLLYWOOD, California - Actress and former Unesco ambassador Audrey Hepburn has been named the most naturally beautiful woman ever in a worldwide poll of beauty experts. Hepburn died in 1993.

The film and stage performer was born in Brussels in 1929, the daughter of British diplomat Rushton-Hepburn and of Dutch baroness Van Heemstra. Audrey spent most of her formative years with her mother. They lived in the Netherlands during WWII, where Audrey, then called Edda, as a courier participated in resistance work.

After Hepburn played minor roles in one Dutch and a few English films, she moved to Hollywood. The actress had received acclaim through her role in the film Roman Holiday (1953) for which she won an Academy Award. Hepburn went on to star in such audience favourites as ‘A Nun’s Story’, ‘Breakfast at Tiffany’s’ and especially ‘My Fair Lady’ (1964).
