ERMELO - The oldest male in the Netherlands recently died at age 107. A Haarlem senior citizen, aged 106, now is the oldest male on record. He still is seven years junior to the oldest person in the country - and in the world - 113-year old Hendrikje (Hennie) van Andel-Schippers who lives in Hoogeveen. She was born on June 29, 1890 and likely is the oldest person ever in the country. Her birthday coincides with that of Prince Bernhard, who was born in Germany in 1911.
