Dutch industrial group Aalberts expands U.S. operations

GOFFSTOWN, New Hampshire - Dutch industrial conglomerate Aalberts Industries of Doorn, the Netherlands, has become the new owner of Accurate Brazing, a company with plants in Goffstown and in Greenville, South Carolina.

Aalberts new subsidiary specializes in vacuum brazing and heat treating applications for the aircraft, ground turbine and power generation markets. The firm was incorporated in 1989, and last year had sales of $5 million. Vacuum heat treating allows uniform heating and cooling applications, minimizing distortion and providing excellent metallurgical properties.

Aalberts Industries has two main product lines, industrial services and flow control for water, gas and heating, and dispense systems. Primarily a European company, Aalberts wants to set up a similar service network in the U.S. Among its current U.S. subsidiaries are such firms as Broen, Taprite-Fassco, and NADS. In 2004, Aalberts had gross revenues of $1.1 billion.
