Concerns over noise send fighter jets for training to Canada

THE HAGUE - F-16 and other fighter jets from a number of air bases in the Netherlands again will use Canadian air space to conduct war games - such as ‘Maple Flag’ - and other necessary air trials, together with jets from other NATO countries. Noise pollution concerns prevent the Royal Dutch Air Force to conduct such flights over the Netherlands, while Canada at places such as Cold Lake, Alberta have no such restrictions.
