Eerdmans Jr. has carried on the family tradition of independent and eclectic religious publishing; between the father and the son a century of publishing. The firm’s Reformed Christian and Dutch immigrant roots remain visible in “The Historical Series of the Reformed Church in America (HSRCA)” it publishes for the RCA. The book is also a must-read for anyone wishing to learn more about the impact of this immigrant family on the Christian book publishing industry in North America, which includes the publishing houses of Baker, Kregel and Zondervan which share Eerdmans’ origins.
