Articles about genealogy in the Windmill

From time to time, the Windmill also publishes articles about genealogy. You can find a selection of these articles online.

Vital Statistics also known as the "Family Page" in the Windmill

Vital Statistics is a huge archive section of announcements on births, engagements, weddings, anniversaries, obituaries and awards given within the North American Dutch community.

Starting with a May 1987 issue, the Windmill Herald has published thousands of names and stories from the Dutch community around the world in its Family Page section. We have transferred some of those names to this site, so that you can now search for any name you like and, who knows, there might have been some mention of you some time in the past! Here are some of the issues we've posted so far sectioned by year.

If you can not find what you are looking for, Vanderheide Publishing can search its archives (on premises) to locate information about some event or some place or even the whereabouts of some person. We have successfully located next-of-kin, heirs and stories about many people on request.
