SLIEDRECHT – Contractor Johan Huibers is building his second replica of Noah’s Ark, now on the Biblical scale of 175 metres long, 30 metres wide and 13 metres high. The builder plans to exhibit his second ark during Sail 2010 in Amsterdam and during the Olympic Games 2012 in London. Starting next year, Huibers hopes to exhibit the Biblical account of Noah on the first floor of the new replica. The smaller version, which measures only 70 metres by 10 metres wide, is visiting different places in the Netherlands where it attracts many onlookers and visitors. Various towns are even competing with one another for such a visit.
